As Operation Kindness looks toward the future, we have updated our name to Operation Kindness Humane Society to better reflect the impact of our daily work. After nearly 50 years of transforming the lives of pets and the people who love them, the enhanced name better communicates our purpose: to provide resources, support and compassion for pets and their families.
Our Commitment to Shelter Pets
As we evolve, we remain committed to our mission and core values — including finding homes for shelter pets during the holiday season. Operation Kindness Humane Society will host holiday adoptions at Galleria Dallas, now until December 28.
Pets will be available Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and Sundays from 12:00 to 6:00 P.M. The adoption center will be open on Christmas Eve, December 24, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. To help more shelter pets meet their match before the end of the year, the organization will continue hosting pet adoptions at the shopping center after Christmas, from December 26 to 28.
Individuals who visit the holiday adoption center can take a sneak peek at the updated name on Galleria Dallas’ December gallery wall, located on Level 1 across from Sephora. Additionally, community members who adopt a cat or dog at the holiday pop-up location will receive an Operation Kindness Humane Society photo ornament to commemorate the first holiday season with their new furry family member.
Our Work in North Texas and Beyond
While we are — and will continue to be — dedicated to our local roots, we aim to expand our impact on the lives of pets beyond North Texas.
