Our Tele-Adoption Process

Step 1:

Search our website and check out all the dogs and cats currently available for tele-adoption.

Animal profiles are updated in real-time. As soon as an animal is adopted, their profile is removed from the website.

Then, complete an adoption questionnaire for the type of pet you are interested in. Note: Your questionnaire is not for any one specific available pet. At the time of your appointment, we will discuss which pets are currently available.

Step 2:

After you submit the questionnaire, you will schedule an adoption counseling phone call. During this call, a staff member will answer your questions about the pet(s) you are interested in. We will review important information, including all medical and behavioral information we have about the animal.

If you decide to move forward with adoption, we will start your adoption paperwork. We ask that you be prepared to bring home your pet within 72 hours of your counseling call.

If you need to confirm or change your appointment, email us at clientservices@operationkindness.org.

Due to efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, we are not able to accommodate in-person meet and greets with potential adopters or their resident pets.

Step 3:

Once your tele-adoption is complete, you will arrange a time for curbside pick-up of your new pet from Operation Kindness.

Your pet will have been checked out by our medical team and all medical records and paperwork will be given to you at pick-up.

We ask that you wear a mask or face covering during pick-up.

THEY FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOMES

Success Stories

Our greatest joy is pairing pets with loving homes. While we love every single animal in our care, we hope to see them leave one day. The way we see it, animals don’t belong in a shelter – they belong in a home.
