Trick-or-Treat With Shelter Pets at Operation Kindness’ “Bark and BOO!” Kids Event

This year’s best Halloween party features everything kids love — spooky costumes, tasty candy and cuddly shelter puppies ready to celebrate all night long! For some pre-Halloween fun, Operation Kindness is hosting a night out for kids called “Bark and BOO!” at 6:00 P.M. on  Friday, Oct. 24.

During this three-hour event, young animal lovers are invited to our main shelter in Carrollton to trick-or-treat around the shelter, complete seasonally festive crafts, enjoy pizza and of course — meet adorable puppies and kittens! Participants are encouraged to come dressed up in their best costumes for the chance to win a secret prize. To keep the spooky fun going,

Registration is now open for ‘Bark and BOO!’ at $45 per child, ages 7 to 11.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

We also have plenty of opportunities for children to get involved at the shelter! We host monthly Family Volunteer and Youth Days, which allow younger children to engage in hands-on activities, behind-the-scenes shelter tours and the chance to interact with animals.
