Tori Fugate, Vice President of Marketing & Communications

As a leader in animal welfare communications, Tori Fugate has spent more than a decade helping mission-driven organizations strengthen their brands, elevate public visibility, and connect communities to lifesaving work through strategic storytelling, media relations, and innovative marketing.

Tori joined Operation Kindness Humane Society in 2026 as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, where she leads brand strategy, media relations, storytelling, digital engagement, and audience growth initiatives. Previously, she held leadership roles with Shelter Animals Count at the ASPCA and KC Pet Project, focusing on brand growth, crisis communications, audience engagement, and data-driven storytelling for nationally recognized animal welfare organizations.

Her work has earned national media coverage in outlets including People, CBS News, Forbes, USA Today, Queer Eye, and The Rachael Ray Show. Tori currently serves on the Marketing and Communications Committee and Development Committee for National Animal Care and Control Association (NACA) and is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences on marketing and communications in animal welfare.
