Three Special Pups Casting a Spell on Your Heart this Halloween

Say hello to three long-term shelter dogs at Operation Kindness who came into our care from our Central Texas flood response. These pups are hoping to catch the eyes of potential adopters in their bewitching Halloween costumes.

All three dogs kicked off the start of October with a spooky season photoshoot. The costumes showcase their individual characters while drawing attention to their need for homes.

Lady Mae

Lady Mae dressed as a candy

Lady Mae is sweet like candy with her expressive, bright eyes making her hard to resist. She loves being pampered with pets and enjoys lounging around at home while enjoying a good cuddle session.

When she’s not hanging out with her doggy friends, Lady Mae loves sniffing out new adventures. Her nose is always working overtime, tracking down new scents and hunting for hidden treats like a pro. Lady Mae is ready to brighten up your day during the chilly fall weather!

Leilani

Dressed in a sparkling shark costume, Leilani is fearless yet kindhearted. This sweet girl sees nobody as a stranger and is eager to “give paw” as a form of greeting. She loves walking and sitting right next to you, making her the ultimate cuddle buddy. Leilani is a treat connoisseur who can’t stop her tail or fin from wagging when the treat bag starts to rustle.

When she arrived at Operation Kindness from Williamson County, our medical staff noticed her severely worn teeth and scheduled her for surgery to extract those causing discomfort. Now, Leilani is happy as ever and hopes to celebrate the upcoming festive season with her family.

James Cagney

Shining bright in his orange pumpkin costume, James Cageny is a true show stopper! This goofy pup loves nothing more than putting a smile on your face and bringing joy into your life. With his playful personality and festive flair, he’s ready to make every day feel like a celebration!

When James came to our shelter in North Texas, he was healing from a fractured femur in his right leg and needed constant monitoring to ensure his injury was healing properly. After multiple weeks in our medical wing and with a foster family, James is excited to be cleared for adoption and ready to meet his new family this fall!
