Operation Kindness’ Community Initiatives team is being considered for a Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Award from D CEO Magazine, a business focused D Magazine publication. The Magazine will be presenting the awards this year in partnership with the Communities Foundation of Texas.

The Community Initiatives team, which launched last year, brings veterinary services to underserved areas, ensuring more pets can be happy, healthy and in their loving homes. Services provided by CI include free or low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics, spay/neuter surgeries and general wellness. The team is a finalist for the Nonprofit Team of the Year in the “Large + Mega” size category.

Organizations and programs nominated had to provide instances where strong leadership and ethics, fiscal responsibility, diversity, equity and inclusion were demonstrated, as well as general positive impact and importance to the community.

According to the Magazine, a record breaking 550 programs were nominated this year – with judges narrowing down 125 as finalists – “demonstrating the depth and strength of the nonprofit community in North Texas and their deep engagement with the companies that support them.”

The winners in each category will be announced at an exclusive award ceremony in July.
