Southeast Dallas Community Pet Food Pantry Receives 240 Visitors in One Hour

Operation Kindness staff handing out pet food at Southeast Dallas Pet Food Pantry event

As Operation Kindness’ services have expanded, we have made it our mission to support pets and their families, providing affordable and accessible resources. To back this mission, our Community Initiatives team has partnered with Inspired Vision Compassion Center — a community-based food bank in Southeast Dallas — to offer a free monthly Community Pet Food Pantry as well as vaccine and microchip clinics at their location.

Thanks to our partnership, 240 community members were able to receive free cat and dog food in just one hour during February’s distribution at Inspired Vision Compassion Center. At this past month’s vaccine and microchip clinic at the food bank, 302 pets were served by our amazing medical staff.

We are excited to see this collaboration grow and look forward to assisting more families this year thanks to your support.

Free Pet Food Pantry

For community members who are unable to attend the monthly events at the Southeast Dallas food bank, our Community Initiatives team also distributes pet food, litter and treats weekly at our Dallas St. Clair Pet Food Pantry, located at our main shelter in Carrollton. This pet food pantry location is open every Thursday and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. for individuals who apply for pet food assistance.

Our ability to help the community is only possible because of you and we appreciate your support. If you are interested in attending one of our community clinics, visit our events page to see next available dates and locations.
