Operation Kindness joins Clear the Shelters

Operation Kindness Blog - Operation Kindness joins Clear the Shelters | North Texas No-Kill Animal Shelter

This year, Operation Kindness is excited to partner with NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 for the annual Clear the Shelters 2021 event!

With the goal to increase adoption rates for local shelters across the country, and providing homes to hundreds of dogs and cats, Operation Kindness is participating from September 13-19, when families will be able to adopt a new pet with waived adoption fees.

Our facility will be open every day of the week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to provide dogs and cats a chance to find a new family to call their own.

Adoption appointments are not required, but visitors are encouraged to fill out an adoption questionnaire online before visiting the shelter, for faster service. From there, interested adopters can visit the shelter and the animal they’re interested in for a meet and greet session, allowing families to get to know their pet and to see if they’ll be a great match. Our skilled adoption counselors can answer any questions that you have.

We also encourage guests to browse our adoption pages before the event to get an idea about our available animals. From name, age, gender, breed, and personality descriptions, Operation Kindness provides as much information to potential adopters and discusses further information, such as medical records, during the adoption process.

After adoption, other resources from Operation Kindness are available, such as information about basic manners and potty training (if needed), medical support for 2 weeks post-adoption, exercise, enrichment ideas, grooming, and additional questions that support healthy pet care.

Founded in 2015, Clear the Shelters has since helped over half a million pets from shelters find loving families across the United States. Operation Kindness is proud to be a part of such an endeavor, which also aligns with our purpose to provide dogs and cats with love, kindness and care.
