Operation Kindness Blog - North Texas Giving Day is September 17, 2020 | North Texas No-Kill Animal Shelter

What is North Texas Giving Day?

North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online day of giving for people all over the metroplex to come together and give to their favorite non-profit organizations. As you know, this year has been filled with challenges and uncertainties. And the animals need community support now more than ever.

Why is North Texas Giving Day important to the animals?

North Texas Giving Day is the single largest fundraising day of the year for our animals. Your support helps provide critical, lifesaving medical care, food, supplies, and shelter for homeless pets in our community. Most of all, it allows dogs and cats to find a loving home.

How do bonus funds work?

The Communities Foundation of Texas provides bonus funds to all participating non-profits. Bonus funds mean that your gift will be matched in part to go even further. Watch this video to learn how bonus funds work.

What are the prizes?

In addition to bonus funds, the Communities Foundation of Texas also provides a variety of prizes. When you give, you’re helping Operation Kindness become eligible to receive a prize. Read about the prizes that are available this year.

How can you participate?

Please make a gift on Thursday, September 17! Donations are open from 6:00 AM to midnight.

Or, you can give an early gift starting on September 1!

To stay updated, follow along on Facebook and Instagram, and share our stories with your friends and family. Also, make sure you are signed up to receive email updates from Operation Kindness.

We rely on the generosity of our supporters to help create bright futures for homeless pets. We couldn’t do this work without you. Thank you for caring about the animals, especially during this difficult time.
