Artichoke receives a second chance

Operation Kindness Blog - Artichoke gets a second chance | North Texas No-Kill Animal Shelter

Artichoke, a Retriever mix puppy, is spending this holiday season in the loving care of her new family. And it’s thanks to supporters like you that she has the fresh start she needs. Artichoke arrived at Operation Kindness from a rescue partner who was out of space. She was a healthy puppy who was homeless and alone through no fault of her own.

After receiving her standard vaccines and basic medical care at Operation Kindness, Artichoke was placed for adoption. And she was quickly scooped up by her new family. In fact, she was adopted the very first day she was made available! Today, she’s growing, thriving, and living her best puppy life in her new home.

Many of the stories that we feature involve a lifesaving medical transformation for a homeless pet. However, many other pets just need a safe place to land and an opportunity to find a new family.

This holiday season, Artichoke and many more pets will spend their days surrounded by warmth and loving care with their adoptive families — all because friends like you choose to support our mission.

Thank you for giving animals in need a warm, safe shelter, food, and loving care until they are adopted. And for giving fellow North Texans the opportunity to welcome them as new family members!
