Name a Dallas Shelter Animal through Operation Kindness’ Summer Fundraising Campaign

Dog named Mike Wazowski with red ball

With summer and kitten season in full swing, shelters are experiencing an influx of animals. With over 7,000 animals entering Operation Kindness’ care for placement every year, we are asking the public for donations to cover medical care, food and necessities. This summer we are also requesting help with name ideas for all the pets coming through our doors.

Community members who donate $50 or more to Operation Kindness through our summer fundraising campaign will be able to submit a name suggestion — like Green Bean or Mike Wazowski — for our intake team to use for an incoming dog or cat.

“At Operation Kindness, we welcome each incoming animal with medical attention, nourishing food and a name to let them know that they are part of our family as we find them a loving home,” said Ed Jamison, CEO of Operation Kindness. “We can’t do our lifesaving work without the support of the community, and we’re excited to see the names we’re offered from the public through this special campaign.”

Don’t miss out on the chance to name one of our shelter pets a cute or funny name this summer! Donations to Operation Kindness are tax-deductible. Operation Kindness’ animals are available for adoption daily at our Carrollton shelter and PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center from 11:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. Before visiting us in person, check out available pets on our adoption page.
