Operation Kindness Humane Society will celebrate our anniversary and North Texas Giving Day with the Paws & Celebrate 50th Anniversary Festival on Sept. 12, 2026, from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. at our main shelter in Carrollton. The free, family-friendly event will feature a vendor market, a pet and human health services fair and Name Your Price pet adoptions.
Vendor Market
To bring the community together and highlight small local businesses, we will host over 30 vendors at a market from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the festival. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop for handmade art to apparel, treats, accessories, food and more.
All vendors will be donating portions of their proceeds from the day to support our North Texas Giving Day fundraising goals.
Community Human and Pet Health Services Fair
We will be bringing together leading health and human service organizations to offer free resources for both pets and people. Whether you’re looking for wellness support, educational tools, or community programs, this is your chance to connect directly with trusted partners.
Attendees can donate blood at Carter BloodCare’s mobile clinic, on-site from 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. To book an appointment or learn more, visit their website.
Free Pet & Human Wellness Support
We are committed to providing accessible care for pets and the people who love them. During the Sept. 12 festivities, we will offer a free vaccine and microchip clinic for the first 250 pets. Pet vaccines offered at the clinic include rabies, parvo, distemper, DHPP and FVRCP.
While pets receive their vaccinations and microchips, their families will have access to health supplies.
Name Your Price Adoptions
To help pets find homes during the day of fun, we will be running a Name Your Price adoption special at our main shelter in Carrollton from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. To celebrate a furry friend finding a new home, Moss Heating, Cooling & Plumbing will match your chosen fee as a donation to us!
