As Flood Waters Recede More Homeless Pets Seek a New Home


CARROLLTON, Texas - September 8, 2017- Operation Kindness continues to work with partners across Texas including the Human Society of the USA, SPCA of Texas, Shutt’er Down Ranch and others to rescue and transport homeless pets displaced by Hurricane Harvey. Operation Kindness is also providing pet food to rescue groups transporting animals and to evacuees in Dallas who have their pet staying with them.

Operation Kindness Provides Support to the SPCA of Texas and Humane Society to Offer Relief


CARROLLTON, Texas (August 30, 2017)—Hundreds of pets have been displaced following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas, on Friday, Aug. 26, as a Category 4 hurricane. To help as many animals as possible, Operation Kindness is offering their support in conjunction with the SPCA of Texas and The Humane Society of the United States. The main goal is to prevent overcrowding in affected shelters, as well as collecting food for the Operation Kindness Pet Food Pantry at their main location at 3201 Earhart Lane, Carrollton.

North Texas’ original and largest no-kill animal care and adoption center is feeding pets across the metroplex with the launch of the Operation Kindness Pet Food Pantry. The pantry is designed to lower the number of pets surrendered to shelters by providing temporary free cat and dog food to qualified low-income families.
